What cane is everyone using?
I've just taken delivery of some of Joseph Sampsons excellent reedmaking california cane and would have to say that it without doubt the best cane I have ever tried. I get many more working reeds than I ever have before. For those of you who dont know Josephs stuff I will invite him to place a ad here. There are of course other cane suppliers, some of whom supply softer french cane. They are of course welcome to place an ad here also. I have no experience of the French stuff that Mike Hulme in the uk does, can anyone enlighten me? I know Mike sells great drone cane having had a small order from him in the past. I think Ill just invite all the cane suppliers I know to post here, this should cover most of the globe.

A bunch of old clarinet reeds from the local equivalent of ebay. they are cheap. and to import some reed would only be feasible if I made enough use of it.

Small bits of bamboo from the garden. Hard as nails but makes pretty good ssp drones and swedish reeds once the scraping is done. tend to be a tad on the louder side.
